Poetry English
Liquid departure (NL: Vloeibaar vertrek)
Seeking caresses that did matter
hands found a last remnant helpless touches
of which no good bye could be taken
as if they were in doldrums
When the new feminine trade winds
from the east started blowing
was the air across my face
of your hurried leaving steps
the last thing I felt
Surrounds (NL: Omgeven)
suddenly falls
consciousness that surrounds
and recalls
eyes that spoke volumes
while reading life
silent witnesses of an experience
tangible but not tenable
only noticeable
where thoughts flow
sweet round face
goodbye never said
that isn't possible
here, on the inside
Pas de Un (NL: Pas de Un)
Waving trees greet
her Husky blue eyes
Leaves kiss feet
until the heel
pierces their heart
Pine cones let go
wake you up
to preview your future
just when thoughts
are lost in a canopy
Rythmic ticking of the beak
accompanies your step in three-four beat
the sun shyly glides over
the never warming stone
carves a shadow in the frozen heart
Evening dew chases good intentions
back into their hole
onerous silence returns
a new morn
soundlessly rolls in
when the woodpecker still sleeps
Angle
your energy streams through me
your energy streams through me
fast
flowing
boundaries surpassing
I should have
showing me me
in a new way
I should have
your name
You
you were it
i thought
redefine it
or you
You
you were it
i thought
redefine it
or you
Hit
You shielded your feelings
not honest or true
Your replies "I don't know"
but that wasn't you
Your truth disappeared
into digital bits
"Personal conversations"
Only rejection that hits
I wish you could feel
how often you 'smacked'
And your vital communication
was really that lacked
It took you 8 months
to finally come out
I heard it
it was confronting and loud
"Single" was your answer
when pressed for the truth
Me-time is yours now
and does it feel good?
'Your own friends' to share
your me-time with
You can have it and use it
I am done with it
I am done with it
Pride would ever prevent you
to tell me you were wrong
Don't bother anymore
I knew it all along
